Alles over Recco

Veel wintersporters zijn zonder het te weten uitgerust met een een 'baken' waarmee zij in geval van een lawine gevonden kunnen worden. Dit baken, Recco genaamd, is een speciale metalen strip die in veel wintersport kleding verwerkt zit.

The forecast for noon, Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009 shows a low pressure system will spread rain and thunderstorms throughout the Southeast as a cold front pulls cold air southward into the region.  In the West, high pressure continues to keep skies clear. (AP Photo/Weather Underground)AP - Moderate to heavy showers were expected for most of the East Coast on Saturday, with severe thunderstorms likely in the Southeast. Heavy downpours, possible tornadoes and hail were likely over southern Georgia, Alabama and northern Florida. Snow was forecast to develop over the Ohio River Valley and into the Northeast.
