My guest was Roger Erickson, Warning Coordination Meteorologist at the NWS Lake Charles, La. We discussed their Severe Weather Awareness program for 2007, and what their doing to promote Awareness and Preparedness.
We talked about La Nina, media hype, and what you need to do NOW before severe weather or hurricanes threaten.We will also discuss the current weather in their area.
My guest next week will be Bill Smith, Meteorologist In Charge at the NWS in Springfield, Mo. We will talk about Southern Missouri’s severe weather, and their awareness and preparedness week. What are they doing different to promote awraeness and preparedness.

We had some really bad weather across the Southeast United States the past 24 hours. It remained ongoing as we ended the show.
